The kids are doing really well. They are having a fabulous time with my mom and dad and all their aunts and cousins. They love the beach and the pool and are just trilled by the boardwalk. They have both been “trabajando muy duro” for money for the boardwalk to buy little yapping walking dogs. They finally made enough money last night and have been enjoying their puppies ever since. For their work they have been doing workbook pages, Yamile focusing on Math and Jorge on shapes and sizes. Yamile is really improving at basic addition and subtraction. Her understaning of money though still leaves a lot to be desired. I wanted to trade her her 10 one dollar bill for a single and ten dollar bill and she refused. She just could not grasp that it was more than her 10 singles. Oh well, Rome was not built in a day
We are thinking of starting a lasagna garden if anyone has any advice please leave a message for us thanks.

We are all at the shore with my mom. She rented a great condo on the beach. The kids are in their glory. They love spending time with their gramma. The think she is just great and is really is with them. Yamile especially loves gramma. She says she is her best friend.
Yamile has been working hard this summer on her math. Her addition and subtraction are doing really well. I am so proud of her.

Hi,
We have been moving for over a week. We left Texas on Friday and got to Virginia on Sunday. It was nice not to rush for once. We cleaned and cleaned all day Sunday and Monday. After giving us the keys our landlord knocked down our mail box. What a way to start out. Some very nice neighbors sent us over treats Toni and Renee. We could not buy groceries for several days b/c the fridge was leaking. The house is much larger than our apartment but somehow we still have a ton of stuff. Thankfully, the kids have been on vacation with my mom and dad at the beach.
The kids are in no rush to get home although I have been trying like crazy to get their rooms done. I can’t find the hardware to the curtains so they may have to wait and we bought Yamile a new little end table b/c her other broke. We are buying her a new smaller dresser b/c there just is not enough space for it in her room.
Instead of buying new furniture for us we are going to use hers. There are two small dressers I like one is at Ikea the other at Target. I have to think about it. Her other two table I have painted the same pretty pink as the new little end table. Jim and I think it looks cute but I just hope Yamile likes it.

Hi,
Today is Jorge and Yamile’s last day of day care. They sure are going to miss it. The center has been great for them. They were able to make lots of friends and learn lots of things. Jorge especially likes learning songs about Jesus and making art projects. Yamile like playing with her friends.
My mom and sister are coming next week and will take them to Phila. while we move. We are Virginia bound in about 3 weeks. I am very excited!

Hi,
Today was Yamile’s last day of school. We bundled all of her uniforms and gave them to the school so kids who can’t afford one can have hers. We spent a lot of time last night washing and folding them all 4 shirts and 4 pairs of pants. The ones she wore today, i will try to bring to the school before we move.
I am going to do the same with Jorge’s stuff next week.
yamile was so excited she won 1st place in her grade for hula hoop. jorge received his pre school award. he was very proud. Tomorrow at day care they are having a pizza party, they are very excited.

Hi,
We are doing well. Jorge had Chicken Pox for a week. My car went a little crazy, I got Strep, Jim had Strep, and Yamile had an ear infection. It was one crazy week. Jim then had to go away for a week and the kids had a lot of difficulty with it. I think his being call really scares them. Jim however calls everyday twice a day at least but as I know it is not the same. The kids are very excited about our move and really really excited about spending a week with gramma.
Gramma is equally excited, so is my dad and my sister. My mom has already hired my young cousins to be co baby sitters. They will go with my mom when she takes them to the movies or out to eat. It will help them learn English, have fun with their cousins and will help my cousins earn a little spending money.
I wanted to say congratulations to my very good friend Lisa for getting her Blog going- Well done. It looks great!

Yup, poor Jim is not feeling so hot. It’s really hard for him b/c he has a night course and does not usually come home until late. We are keeping Yamile home tomorrow just to make sure she does not have Chicken pox or has Jorge calls them chicken pops. He thinks they are great, he gets to stay home from school and gets a nice oatmeal bath every night.
He has not negative symptoms. He is not tired, he has no fever, he is energetic and feels great. He is not even a little bit itchy. How can this be???????? The rest of use are beat, tired. Yamile is going to bed very early for the last few nights.
Nothing seems to slow my little guy down. Jorge is a bundle of enegery.

I have strep throat, Yamile has a ear infection and Jorge has Chicken Pox. Can you believe it? I feel beat, Yamile is also a bit tired but Jorge is peppy peppy peppy. Jim is trying to steer clear of us.

It is hard to believe but HP fixed my computer in less time than fed ex took to get the box to us. Fed ex took over a week to send us the box but the computer got to HP on a friday and was back on friday one week. We called Fed ex on a sunday by the next sunday still no box. We finally got it on that Wednesday. Amazing Right.
The kids are doing well. We enjoyed Virginia and found a really cute house to rent. We like it very much. It has 4 bedrooms we are going to use one as Jim’s office/guest room. The yard is amazing we are really pleased. My mom and dad visited also and they really liked the area too. The kids of course had a great time with gramma and grampa.
Yamile is coming to work with me tomorrow. We need some girl time. We are going to have a nice lunch and spend some quality/quantity time.

Yup, our hard drive crashed. We shipped it to HP to get fixed. Hopefully we will get it back in two weeks. Life without the computer has been difficult. I can’t email. i can’t study my spanish. The kids can’t view pictures of themselves. We all miss the computer.
We are very excited b/c we are going to Virginia in a few days. I have four job interviews. I hope I can find a job I like that permits me the time that I need with the kids.
It is so exciting to think about changing my life and doing something new and completely different, kind of like what happened to the kids when they moved here. Speaking of the kids, they can not wait to see gramma and grampa. They love the fact that they will be able to visit every few weeks. I love it too I must confess. The kids are all packed and ready to go but mom still needs to finish a few things.
School is going fairly well for the kids. They are ready for Spring Break though.
