It’s been a while, lots has gone on. We are moving to Virginia yeah!!!! It is a lot closer to both our families. Jim has a great job lined up at JMU. I have two job interviews in March. We are going around the 15th for about a week. The kids think the area is great b/c they will be close to gramma and grampa and tio jim, tia maria and tia rosie and princesa (the dog). The area is between two mountain ranges and is really pretty.

I am hoping to get a part time job but if I don’t Jim’s job is going to be very close to the house and to the school so he will be able to spend a lot more time with the kids.

On a crazy note yamile decided not to wear her uniform today. She came out with her jacket on so i did not see it. She had to change into used pants in the nurses office. tonight she is washing the pants in the washer and then drying them. Really all she did was put the pants in the washer and add detergent. Now she is placing the clothes in the dryer. I think it is pretty fair she dirtied the pants now she has to clean them.

Jorge also had a moment today. He decided to get his tissue for blowing his nose break it into tiny pieces and stuff them up his nose while i was driving home. I nearly had a cardiac arrest when i saw my child turning red. I pulled off the side of the road and was able to get it out thank God. I was so scared. He thought it was very funny.

Sorry this is a bit delayed. We are all doing well. The kids really enjoyed Valentine’s Day. Jorge work a red dress shirt and Black cords. Yamile worn a jean skirt accented in pink and a pink shirt. They both came home with a ton of cards and lots and lots of candy. We bought them a tiny heart with chocolate and little card. I gave Jim one of those singing cards. It was pretty cool. Sadly we never received the valentine cards my mom or the kids sister sent. My sister’s cards did come though - yay.

I know that there is a lot of speculation about St. Valentine but my favorite story about him was that he was an early Christian who taught others less fortunate than himself how to read in order to spread the word of God. He was eventually martyred. Supposedly, the reason Valentine’s are given are to commemorate his love of God in written form.

Work has been grueling, I will be happy to leave in June. I love the work but it is just too much.

Apparently Yamile is going to need to get 4 vacunas tomorrow she is not happy she wants them on her arm not her behind. She is pretty emphatic about this.

When I went to pick up the kids from daycare they were saying how much they are going to miss the kids. They said that Jorge is very charming and Yamile is very funny. They said that the kids speak often about moving and are very excited.

Also Yamile’s therapy is going really really well. She is a lot less angry. She still gets upset but it is over before a meltdown occurs Whoppe.

How did I do it you might ask? Well, it is lots of piggyback rides, and carrying my little man in parking lots, and playing futbol in the house and hide and seek and racing and just being a mom I guess. It is cooking and then being too tired to eat.

That’s right, we had a date today. We hired a lovely young woman from Argentina whose two best friends are from Colombia babysit today. We were given her name by one of Jim’s students whom we trust very much Augustina. She uses her for her own children. We met her and her father on friday night at our house. The kids were very excited. They had a great time. Jim and I went to the movies and then Starbucks it was great. When we came home they had drawn lots of things and played several games. She is coming back next week to spend some time with the kids while I work on some stuff for my job. As Yamile says “que rico”. We are hoping this will continue to work out and we can use her every other sunday for a few hours. Just long enough to get in a movie.
